APPEARANCE DESCRIPTIONMadison’s appearance does not scream assassin. She appears to be mild-natured with big eyes and a quiet voice. Nothing about her is threatening. She only stands at five feet and six inches, a few more inches are sometimes added on by her heels. She also doesn’t appear muscular with a thin waist and shoulders. The only hint of her assassin past is the way she carries herself. Madison walks lightly, resembling a cat as if she is constantly poised to pounce.
Madison has long brown hair that reaches just past her shoulder blades. It has been stick-straight her entire life and would probably be beautiful if she took care of it. However Madison sees little value in taking perfect care of her hair. She uses little hair product outside of shampoo and conditioner, she also is constantly tying it out of her face. She hates nothing more than her bangs getting in the way when she writing or typing. Almost every day, she will show up to work with her hair twisted into a tight bun or ponytail. On occasion, when she feels the urge to put some effort in, she will braid her hair off to the side but even then it appears a bit rushed.
She also has brown eyes to match her hair. Over the years Madison had developed very poor eyesight, without glasses or contacts she can barely see past arm’s length. To correct this, she owns glasses but prefers to wear her contacts when outside of her house for both aesthetic and practical reasons. When she does where her glasses out in public, it is a stronger indicator that she is physically sick or something in her life is stressing her out.
Madison’s style of dress depends on where she is. At work she does her best to appear neat. Her hair stays up in a bun, she wears skirts that drop just below her knees and a nice blouse. At home she prefers jeans or other pants with a t-shirt. She has to wear stuffy clothes at work; she wants the opposite when she is at home. While Madison has never done a true field mission for the Assassin Order, she does have a hoodie that she designed that is rigged with weapons and communication devices just in case she needed to use it.
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION
[QUIET]
Madison only speaks when she has deemed it absolutely necessary. This, however, does not mean that Madison is shy. She loves being around people and will happily spend time in social setting with plenty of people. It means that she prefers to be quiet, to listen rather than speak. Over time she has learned that people have a lot to say and if you listen to them then that will give you the advantage. Madison will never give big rambling speeches or talk without first carefully considering her words. At times this quiet demeanor keeps her from voicing her opinions. If she cannot figure out the consequences before opening her mouth, she will not open it at all. She would rather stay quiet than to come forward with her opinion.
[COMPASSIONATE]
One of the many reasons that Madison left the Assassin Order was the way they treated the enemy. While some of her fellow assassins saw the world as black and white, templar and assassins, Madison did not see it that way. Her parents dictated a practice of no mercy, no matter the enemy. Her entire life, Madison had felt differently. She viewed mercy as a form of justice, to be spared could work wonders over punishing someone with death. At the same time Madison cares deeply about her comrades but especially her brother. Since she was a small child, she had been fiercely protective of him. With him in trouble, she may have to put her pacifist ways behind her.
[HARD-HEADED]
While Madison is not quick to share her opinions, she does stick to them. It is hard to sway her away from her beliefs and that may be part of the reason her parents released her from the Order. She was bound to case them more problems in trying to get away than if they let her go. The same situation came into play when she offered to rescue her brother, the Order knew that she was practically their only shot and she was not going to take no for an answer. At the same time, Madison does not believe in forcing her opinions on other people. After a childhood of being taught beliefs instead of being allowed to form her own, she doesn’t believe in pushing ideas down other people’s throats. This does give her a pretty huge reason to hate the Templers as well.
[INDEPENDENT]
Madison prefers to do almost everything on her own and in her own way. She doesn’t like to be bossed around or depend on other people to do their jobs. She would rather create her own success and not have to worry about people screwing up or having to owe someone when the deed is done. This also collided with the Assassins beliefs because as a young girl, she never wanted to work in groups. This still stands today but she has relinquished some of this when she joined Abstergo. In their teams of four or five, Madison fights her desire to take charge and becomes a fly on the wall. While the Animus project may be a group effort, her brother’s rescue is something she is solely responsible for.
HISTORYWhen Madison was born, she became the latest in a long assassin line. Both of her parents, Eric and Candice Everrett, had been trained as assassins since they were small children and they had planned to do the same with their children. When Madison learned to walk, she was encouraged to participate in tumbling and gymnastics which her parents later used to teach her free-running. When she could wield a knife, her mother taught her how to wield it. She was encouraged to be strong and passionate about the Assassin Order. However these lessons did not seem to stick.
Madison was a bright girl and she found her passion was in learning about science and math instead of the skills her parents were busy teaching her. She would rather disassemble the toaster and figure out how it works than learn to fire a gun or jump on rooftops. However she kept this love of science secret from her parents in fear of disappointing them. Instead she trained harder and strove to receive her parent’s praise.
This changed after her little brother was born. Nicholas Majewski was eight years her junior and Madison saw it as her chance to escape the family tradition. With her brother being a possible successor, she would be able to focus on her interests instead of the interest of her parents.
As she entered high school Madison attempted to pull away. She would come home with books on computer programming and engineering, she would spend less time training and more time tinkering. At the dinner table she would casually bring up the possibility of going to college and went as far as to ask if she could quit gymnastics which had been a life-long activity. That was when her parents finally took action against their daughter’s new interests. They tried to convince Madison that her place was in the Assassin’s Order but that only drove Madison farther away.
Madison found her savior in her aunt, Jacqueline Majewski. Candice’s sister had left the Order about two decades ago in pursuit of her own life outside of the Assassins. After she heard about Madison’s desire to not train as an Assassin, Aunt Jackie opened her home to the young girl. At first Madison’s parents resisted, insisting that she was destined to be an assassin and no one should stand in the way. However Eric and Candice’s love for their daughter eventually won out over their dreams of seeing their daughter become an assassin. They let her go with the warning that if she left, she could not return.
The decision had not been easy. Madison loved her parents but that was not the difficult part. Instead she feared for her brother’s safety. She knew being an assassin was a dangerous path and as she watched her little brother grow, she feared for his safety. He was a small boy and Madison was always there to protect him from the bullies at school and they were very close throughout their childhood. Despite this, Madison knew she could not continue to live with her parents and their way of life.
At sixteen Madison made the decision to move in with her aunt in her apartment in Chicago. Nicholas took Madison’s departure harder than anyone and it took Madison at least five minutes to pry her little brother off of her at the airport. The little eight year old couldn’t seem to understand why his sister was leaving. Madison promised to keep in touch before she left on the plane.
This turned out to be harder than she had anticipated. The limited contact she was allowed with Nicholas after leaving the Order strained their relationship. After two years, they almost never spoke to one another. Madison had lost almost all contact with her parents and her brother.
In 1996, Madison graduated from high school and went on to earn an Engineering degree from the University of Illinois. During this time Madison had little time for relationships and buried herself in her schoolwork. Almost immediately when she graduated from college, she began to look for work.
In retrospect, this was not Madison’s best decision but morbid curiosity had won over. She applied for a job at Abstergo Industries, fully aware of the company’s Templar alliance. To her surprise, she was offered a job at their New York headquarters on their research staff. She accepted the job and moved out to New York.
Somehow the Order found this out and contacted Madison a few weeks after she started at Abstergo. At first the Order questioned her loyalties, afraid that she would reveal sensitive information about the Assassin Order. After Madison reassured them otherwise, she was given an offer. She would be allowed to have more open contact with her family if she relayed information from Abstergo back to the Assassins.
While working at Abstergo, Madison did speak to her parents on several occasions but Nicholas had turned bitter. He believed that his sister had abandoned him and refused to speak with her when she called. This neglect from her brother would later cause Madison to lose contact with her family again. However, she did continue to send information to the Order to keep them a few steps ahead of Abstergo.
For almost five years Madison had little contact with her family until one day her mother called in a state of hysteria. Nicholas had disappeared while on a mission and it was feared that he was taken by Abstergo. At that time Madison had been added in a small part to the Animus project. She provided technical support to the different groups that were testing with the machine. She was asked by her mother to check the databases to see if Nicholas appeared anywhere.
His location was found by the Order before Madison had a chance to search. He was being kept at the Abstergo Testing Center in Chicago as a subject in the Animus project. It was deemed too risky to have a mission to retrieve Nicholas and the Order was about to abandon hope on a rescue until Madison stepped forward. She wanted to be the one to get her brother out of the Testing Center. When she received reluctant approval from the Order, Madison worked to be transferred to the Abstergo Testing Center and within a month, she moved back to Chicago and began work there.
