APPEARANCE DESCRIPTION

A relatively medium-height girl, 5’8, with a thick build and strong legs. Her hair is dark and wavy, brown eyes slim from her quarter-Filipino descent, and gold Croatian skin that she has never known to burn in the sun. As a child, Destry was the thin, wiry girl known to climb trees and stay in the branches for hours on end – later on in life, she became more solitary and gained weight, turning into the curvy woman she is today; and even after she lost weight in her teen years due to heavy drugs and drinking, she always managed to get back to her healthy thickness.
Her clothing style changes drastically every few months, as she’s never quite found a cheap style that ever accurately represents herself. It always ends up going back to lazy big sweaters, plaid men’s shirts, jeans, and leather boots. Strangely, she loves the smell of leather and will wear it in any way possible – boots, jackets, handbags, you name it.
In her earlier teen years, you may have seen Destry wearing makeup ranging from simple mascara to thick eyeliner and shadow, since her taste in cosmetics ranges just as unexpectedly as her clothing style. Now, however, she hardly bothers to add thin foundation, and usually ends up simply dabbing on some concealer over her remaining acne scars she had the misfortune of obtaining along with her oily complexion.

PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION

To strangers, Destry has a strict defence mechanism she cannot control – intense rudeness or sarcasm to block out expression of emotion. Once you break through the harder shell, it’s possible to get a slightly less cynical side of her, one that shows the vulnerability she’s trying to conceal. Incredibly sensitive, even to jokes, her reactions are usually plain, but inside she overanalyzes every word and beats herself up about the simplest remarks. Because of this, she eventually reflects her manipulated, paranoid view back to everyone else and ends up hurting them as well. Thick, heavy insults are only a mirror of what she thinks your view of her is.
Cynical and insecure, she is far too sour to attract people dedicated enough to try harder than she will. It may seem intentional, but she’s an incredibly lonely person behind her self-announced ‘solitary’ personality.
Caring traits to her persona are much more well-hidden, and even if she feels for you, she’ll most likely indignantly try to hold it back. She can be remarkably protective without showing socially acceptable compassion or affection, even to the point where she’ll put her life on the line to defend you – if that means to protect you or to protect her opinion, you may never know. She would definitely be a very difficult person to contain on a relationship level, which is why she had many failed ones during her free years. Destry also has a locked-away fear of men, which causes her to be even more defensive and rude to the ones she meets, in fear of showing her vulnerability to them.

HISTORY

The only good term to explain her childhood would be a difficult one. Abandoned by her birth father, she grew to strongly resent male archetypes, and was completely reliant on her Irish-Filipino mother throughout it. They grew up in a small, stuffy apartment building which her mother had often paid for via blackmail or from whichever current boyfriend she was sleeping with. Coincidentally, her dependence on relationships led to Destry having to hide a humiliating incident with her richest one, which was a main reason for Destry to abandon her mother as soon as she possibly could, at the age of 16, to move in with an abusive partner. She left him at age 18, after obtaining enough money from her ranging jobs.
Birthname Emile and maiden name still unknown, the girl rushed to change it before heading out to a new life. This ‘new life’ was at first plagued with crippling depression, shoplifting, drugs and alcoholism that caused her to lose a substantial amount of weight and was hospitalized after an ambulance call from a neighbouring apartment, saying they had heard a gunshot at approximately 2:30 AM. Thankfully, she’d lost courage and ended up shooting the mirror, getting glass shards imbedded in her feet. After this, she improved remarkably, and began searching for reputable jobs to get her young life back on track. She was approached by a member of Abstergo to undergo testing, and was discovered to have strong DNA connections with Milivoj Kosonovic, a Croatian soldier and Assassin of the 16th century with an important role in the history of the country; and with possible knowledge of a Piece of Eden. She accepted the role of a test subject, armed with little knowledge of the battle behind the Templars, and that’s where she is today.

ANCESTOR -

Milivoj was a reputable, patriotic soldier of his home country and a high-ranking assassin of the Balkan region brotherhood. With parents from Bosnia and Croatia, he was part of the Yugoslavian army build to protect the area from attacks from the Ottoman Empire, which they repealed for the first time in the Battle of Sisak in 1593. He was reputed for strengthening the Balkan Brotherhood, which stretched across Yugoslavia and into the borders of Italy, and using the Assassins to protect his native country. In his later life, Milivoj was discovered to have come across a Piece of Eden – a Papal staff – and holds significant knowledge to the path to its current whereabouts. In the late 16th century, he was attacked and killed by a Templar agent affiliated strongly with the Borgias.
